What did these cases decide about the slayer rule and simultaneous death?

When the heirs of an intestate estate hold it through a family corporation, a board majority can vote to sell heirlooms over another heir's objection. An estate that carries large debts and several lawsuits can be insolvent before the children reach adulthood. A family with no estate to fight over can still hold power after a death through the rights the law gives victims.
