Takeoff of Migos was shot dead with no will; his mother and father are fighting over the money the bowling alley paid for his death
Kirsnick Khari Ball, known as Takeoff, was shot dead at 28 at a private party at a Houston bowling alley. He left no will. One report put his estate at $26 million†. A probate case for his estate is pending in Fulton County, Georgia. His mother, Titania Davenport, is administrator. In June 2023 she sued the venue's owners in Harris County, Texas, for $1 million, alleging they failed to provide adequate security. The owners denied wrongdoing and argued that Takeoff's role in illegal gambling made him liable for his own death. In late December 2023 his father, Kenneth Ball, joined the case as an intervenor and also sought at least $1 million, citing funeral costs and loss of support. The case settled on confidential terms. In June 2026 the parents were in court over the proceeds. Davenport's filings say she was his sole provider, that Takeoff later paid most if not all of her expenses, and that Ball was "barely present" and gave almost no support. She asks that Ball receive nothing and that the fight move to the Georgia probate court. Ball says his absence is irrelevant and asks for half, to be decided in Texas. Patrick Xavier Clark, indicted for murder in May 2023, is out on bond; jury selection is set for 5 November 2026 in Harris County. In October 2026 no judge has ruled on the split.
With no will, state wrongful-death law can give an absent parent the same claim as the parent who raised the child.
