A year after Ozzy Osbourne died, Sharon Osbourne asked the High Court to remove his accountant of more than 40 years as executor
Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025 at 76. Estimates of his estate range from about $100 million to $220 million. His will named three executors: Colin Newman, his accountant, plus Melinda Varga, Sharon Osbourne's assistant, and Georgina Maszlin, Sharon's niece. Newman had worked for the couple since before their 1982 marriage. He first met Sharon as a junior accountant for her father, the manager Don Arden. He was for years a director of Ozzy's company, Monowise Ltd., and left that post in April 2026. In 2026, just after the first anniversary of the death, Sharon, Varga and Maszlin filed papers in the High Court of Justice in England to remove Newman as executor. The grounds were not made public, and it was not reported whether Newman is contesting it. Reports based on unnamed sources said the will gives Sharon a lifetime interest, with the rest to pass on her death to their three children, Aimee, Kelly and Jack†. Ozzy also had children from his first marriage, and it was not reported whether the will provides for them†. In 2026 Sharon listed their Los Angeles house for $17 million. The application to remove Newman was filed in 2026 in the High Court of Justice, England, and was pending in September 2026.
A will that names an outside professional beside family members as executors gives the family a reason to go to court if they later want that person out.
