Robin Gibb left a £93 million fortune to his wife and three children; his daughter with the housekeeper got a closing line in the will
Robin Gibb died at 62. His 15-page will was believed to have been drawn up in August 2011 and was witnessed by his chauffeur and personal assistant. His estate was put at £93 million, part of it overseas or jointly owned with his wife, Dwina. The will put £26 million in a trust that pays all income to Dwina. She also took his personal belongings and his share of Bee Gees back-catalogue royalties. His two children from his first marriage, Spencer and Melissa, got £500,000 each at once. The remainder goes to them and Robin-John, his son with Dwina, when Dwina dies. A fourth child, Snow Robin, was born in 2008 to Claire Yang, his former housekeeper. She was not named a beneficiary. The final paragraph said he was "in the process of making reasonable financial provision for Snow" and asked his trustees to do it if he had not. About £5 million was reported provided in the months before his death†. Yang kept an £850,000 house in Amersham that Gibb bought her. Dwina told Yang not to come to the funeral. Another report said Yang later agreed to a one-off £4 million child maintenance payment after a year of negotiation†. Figures came largely from the Daily Mail and differ between outlets. No court ruling on the will was found. In 2026 the trust structure stands as reported.
A child left out of the will but named in its last paragraph gets provision only if the trustees act.
