Benny Hill left an estate of 7,548,192 pounds to seven nieces and nephews, and his grave was broken into in 1992 over a rumour of buried gold

Benny Hill died on 18 April 1992, aged 68, in an armchair in his Teddington flat. He was found two days later. The UK probate calendar records his estate at 7,548,192 pounds, and GQ reports it was divided among his seven nieces and nephews. Whether he left a signed will is not stated in the sources found†. He was buried at Hollybrook Cemetery in Southampton, near his birthplace. Wikipedia reports that grave robbers dug up and broke open the coffin on the night of 4 October 1992, after a rumour that he was buried with a collection of gold jewellery, and that the coffin was reburied under a concrete slab†. The Herald (Glasgow) reported the desecration. The date and the concrete are given by one source only. Hill never married. In 2026 he remains at Hollybrook.

What the law took from it

A rumour that valuables are buried with a body can draw thieves, so say in the will what goes into the grave.
